Keeper Problem

Way to go Ashley! I always put the timing cover on before the pan. It makes it much easier to get the front pan seal in place. Make sure both alignment dowels for the timing cover are in the block, it looks like one may be missing. Bob tufcj

OK we will check that thanks. Hope I have one :) Wrong keepers from Comp Cams for the stock 3/8 valves w/the 3 groves. Now I have to call them to send the right ones.

Well since we couldn't finish putting the engine together Ashley decided to rebuild her Edelbrock 1406 carb.

Ashley's push rod checker tool came in today. 🙂

Ashley's other valve keepers came in today.

These are the 4 grove keepers (pic below) whereas the others in post #43 (612-16) are single grove keepers.

If you order a Comp Cam Kit make sure you ask them or tell them how many groves you have on your valves.

Engine is in and running well.
