360 engine rebuild

I just got rated out about my Mudder Jeep... I have it broke down.. tranny out, no driveshafts, brakes off of it, no steering and they called the CITY OF NORFOLK on me... #-o I had until Saturday to move the ride or I'd get fined etc... So, I had to Fork out another $270 to move it to NC!!! WTF... TODAY!!!! WTF...

:!: =D> I like it!!! :-| I can narrow it down to 3 people... the 3rd most likely not... the second there's a really good chance of it, the 1st "suspect" I'm almost positive it's this person... Well, if I go with 2 out of the 3 my chances of getting the right person is definitely better =D> Just teasing.
It's all good, I think I'll call the City on this guy about his House... the right side of the foundation has "settled" about 4". You can actually see how the wood floors slope towards the right side of the house and the his Outside stairs leading up to the second story are old as hell, dry rotted and flimsy... Definitely not up to Code!... we can play the game and I think I'm going to.

Ok guys there seems to be a dummy on this end. he has the intake ,carb, uncle is making the headers,eddelbrock heads and the rest will be bought. Should have read as follows My uncle has the Intake ,carb, heads,he is making the headers. The rest will have to be bought.Which is the pistons, rings and cam. :oops:

I still stand that no way for $1500. Nothing is said about gaskets, bearing and machining...that alone is $1500. When shopping for parts you can always double your own lowball. I have around 10 bills in my 401...now thats including some assembly tools that I needed to make that engine reliable and check that parts fit. Alot went into parts I felt would pay in the long run as this engine has to last!! Best rings (gapless) best bearings for crank(which will be changed when running the stroker crank) best heads(with potential to make better with professional port job) best lifters, new head bolts (those bolts he going to reuse are 30 years old!) Plastic-gage, assembly lube, gasket maker, degree wheel, push rod checker, ring compressor...etc is some of the stuff I had to buy. Now the NEXT time around will be alittle cheaper. But the first time, which we all have been at one time...is aways more expensive! 400hp is pretty dang good...if its proven. I don't trust the desktop dyno. You can enter all my specs (and even my head flow data) and its not close to what my engine made on the dyno. It is close to what the cam grinder said...but his computer program cost $10,000+!!!
