:?: Well it needed a pic whether it was a rusty mockup bolt or not.

Just a few finishing touches then its onto a motor for the final adjustment. ...well hopefully no adjustment! Just because verything looks good on CAD doesnt mean it will turn out 100%. I have learned this from many years of machining.[/quote]
So, how does "the Morroso 3 stage dry sump pump" fit up in this beast ? :-|
jeepsr4ever
Their is a seal on the lower portion and a counter bore that the unit fits in. Jeff says he will or has made brackets for keeping the pump steady.

Here's some mock up pics from last year, I haven't finished the bottom mount as I am waiting to get the finished part in house to take in effect any minute variations the pump will mount to a extended engine mount plate

After all this fab and custom stuff is it going to be a dry sump system?
Blown7
No it's a wet/with an external tank also. It should hold about 20 quarts (9 quart sump and 11 quart tank.) It could very easily be a dry system.

your gonna have $100 oil changes without figuring for filters! Its gonna hold as much oil as the tranny in my truck or a big truck diesel!!!

Why such a volume of oil? I have a total of almost 10Qts...pan, lines and 2 large filters. I've thought of an accumulator but those have only 2 or 3 Qts. Is your tank used as an accumulator (kept under pressure) or just a spare volume of oil (for high angles).

Bumpin to top maybe MC will see this, he doesn't answer his phone anymore "too many international sales" LOL

:sa: I see it there Jeff I personally wanted to talk with you this week but I have been suffering some health issues. I have developed an alergic reaction to nickel and it has been giving me some complications. I am back in the shop this weekend so back on track with some meds

Hope ya feel better..

Its not pretty and not good. I get severe eczema from it sometime in areas where I handle it. Some kindney issues but nothing too extreme. Their are some other things I just dont want to mention  Needless to say I will now be wearing some gloves when I work with these plated pieces and machined pieces. Worst part about the eczema is that it was localized then it spread so I am recovering from the belly to the hands   Benadril helps out! I am back in the shop today fixing a saw and getting some quick parts made up. I have one last fixture for the cover and have it drawn up. We will see where tonight brings me.

Does this mean you have the fixtures to produce a billet replacement cover, or a cover with a removable/replaceable oil pump? :!: :!:
