Howdy everyone,
I am Danny and I live in North Carolina where I am stationed with the Army at FT Bragg. I have been married for 6 years and I have a 4 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. I use to wheel a full size Chevy K5 Blazer. I sold it and bought a 2000 Grand Cherokee WJ 4x4. It has a 4.0L, 42RE tranny and a NV242 tcase. I plan on putting a 6" long arm kit, either Rock Krawler's or Clayton's. Not sure which one just as of yet, still doing research on the two lifts. I will be putting a ford D44HP/9 inch full width combo in my WJ. I will be running 4.88 gears and 36" Irok tires. I will be having a custom winch front bumper and a custom rear with tire carrier bumper made for it also. I will also be having rock sliders, belly skid and gas tank skid made. I will be putting a full cage in this as well. This is for the peace of mind of the family when we are wheeling. This will also be my DD for a while.

I think you need to specify WHEN he had what lift, tires nd axle :? At one point I think he had Rockwells
Last time I saw it at the FSJ nvasion (04?) he had Airock's, and 37's on 60's?

Pic as requested. This is last year. Right now it looks odd without fenders or an engine. The spot is Jose Basin, NE of Fresno, CA. I was 10-15ft up the incline when it died out, and the brakes wouldn't hold the hill. I had just installed a new carb and throttle cable, but the cable came undone at both ends when I tried to goose it. I'm the one under the dash trying to Okie rig the cable back on. We got it running again, then found out shortly after that the alternator was going out after I drained the battery restarting over and over. Trail pics later this year will have a shiny new engine hidden inside.

I just ordered pistons yesterday, so 360 build will begin shortly. I got BJ builds and AMC, and read it several times. Any other suggested reading besides the forums? Now I have to buy a new digital camera too.

I have owned, rebuilt, parted out many many Jeeps over the years (75+) and see more every day I would like to have.
Guess you could call me a Jeep addict.

Jeepfish
Jeepfish, aka; Chad. I was a union sprinklerfitter (fire, not lawn care). I'm 35 yrs old from Blaine, Mn. I have owned Jeeps for 17 years now. I currently own a '61 cj5- stock, hardtop, plow; '74 cj5- 400 hp 360, NP435 (ford), M20 t-case, lockers front and rear, spring over, 38.5 x 14 Swamper SX tires, and a bunch of other stuff; '78 cj5- 360, turbo 400, project; '92 yj- stock, 4.0L; and I will be picking up a late 60's Jeepster Comando soon. On 5/20/06 I was paralized below the chest in a atv accident. Now my DD is a Toxic Green GTX wheelchair (LOL). Since it's a bitch to get into big Jeeps now, I want to get some AMC cars. I'm looking for a '70 or older AMX or Javelin. I'm also thinking about building a AMC powered "rat rod". I am a huge AMC fan and I really enjoy this web site. Keep up the good work. Chad
Jeepfish
Jeepfish here again. I forgot to say that I am a member of the Mn Swampbucks 4x4 Club. I also own 8 shotguns and a S&W 629 Classic 44 mag that I use for deer hunting now since my accident. That's about it. Chad

Good luck finding the cars.. but dont give up on the jeeps yet.. after you build those upper body muscles you will be chinning yourself into those cj's no sweat..
And this is a bitchin website isnt it?

Im 19 had a jeep for 3 years and have done all the work myself from the engine work to axles/drivetrain rebuild to a complete teardown and frame replacement and body work. I spend as much of my time as school allows in the woods either in my jeep or with a gun of some sort hunting the wild critters that infest the great northern forests of MN. In the colder months I spend a great deal of time staring at an 8inch hole in the ice hoping for some critter of the aquatic variety to eat my hook. I happen to live in the city that moved and has the worlds largest open pit iron ore mine, the small city of Hibbing :lo1l: . We just happen to have the most regular earthquakes of anywhere with them happening every wednesday at 12:00PM exactly.
