having trouble getting my post in. will try tomorrow from office.
XJ-001
Can't get on from the office, site is blocked on this end, so here is another try:
After 2200 miles have had no problems with the car or the oil. Cold start oil pressure is 70 psi, hot idle is 32-35 psi, hot on the highway is 60-63 psi. All readings are consistant and have had no oil consumption problems, except for 1 quart used during a high speed run on the Bonneville salt flats and a run up to 120 mph (GPS indicated)on I-80. Maintained 60 psi during hi ambient temps and running AC.
BTW, the car runs like crap on the gas out here!

so did you
A. see a small boost in oil pressure at running and cold temps?
B. Notice any changes in power?
C. Feel nervous about testing a new oil in your AMX
Good stuff aint it?
XJ-001
A: In general yes, about 2-3 psi at all operating ranges.
B: Hard to tell, as I didn't get to run it a lot after the rebuild and before changing to the AMC oil. Seemed plenty powerful until I filled up the first time in CA. Finally got it to run half-way decent now on the crap gas out here, but had to retard the base timing to 0 to keep it from pinging and detonating. Still getting a slight ping accelerating on the highway in 4th, so may have to recurve the dist to reduce the mech advance and limit the vac advance.
C: Me, nervous, Never!

Cant help you with the timing, but the oil was engineered for these motors. Glad you had good luck! Now get back to work, they got to be paying you big bucks for you to be able to drive your AMX cross country like that
XJ-001
So far, everything is going well. Oil Pressure is staying steady and hasn't dropped at all. Going to change it this weekend.
