Just logged in to VOTE Bone 8) tired. 12 hours of pounding steel with my feet trying to find these connection boxes. 8) project manager can't seem to get his
together and get us approximate locations - main engine rooms are HUGE when looking for 10x10 inch boxes!!

Cursed with cars...
Have been working on my Ford Probe with the shredded timing belt/cam sprockets. Finally starting putting everything back together and it turns out that the tensioner pivot bolt shreded the threads in the block. (Damn mazda engine). Now I will have to pull the entire engine just to get at the dumb thing and hopefully install a helicoil. Now I have to pull the egine... And, if I tap it perfectly square the cheesy aluminum block will be junk since the timing belt will walk off the tensioner. I wondering if a machine shop can install the helicoil for me if the engine is not fully disassembled.
To make matters worse, I have been driving my jeep around as my daily driver while my Probe is dead. It all of a sudden is leaking oil like a pissing race horse (about 1.5quarts in less than 50miles). I had pulled the alternator and water pump when installing a new water pump and installing my new York compressor for OBA. Now the timing cover is leaking between it and the block. Probably have to pull the timing cover to get it sealed again. I know that a lot of the bolts that go through the water pump into the timing cover were removed, but damn the timing cover shouldn't be leaking oil after pulling the alternator and waterpump.
If I don't at least get my jeep fixed I will be down to riding my bike to work in the 40mph wind we have had for the past 2wks. (wish it was summer).
I am beginning to hate working on cars...

Just logged in to VOTE. Bone 8) tired. 8 hours of working on the box from Hell, 128 wires in an overhead junction box standing on a 6x8" stepstool.
Is 2.5 weeks extra vacation REALLY
worth this??

13 hour day! Smacked my head on a light in the overhead (ceiling) while in that frigg'n box and have (another) hole in my head. But, they are taking the ship out of dry dock tomorrow so I get the day off :? 8 days without a break and not having to take my rearview mirror off "night" sucks!
Mudrat
Jack, I was told NEVER to drop your crank in the rain :?:

Had to install a new starter in the YJ - bendix was sticking. After I got it running again, I have a real bad knock in the bottom end. Looks like I have a new summer project...rebuilding an I-6 for my daughter...

today started out crappy and stayed that way. LAN at work was AFU so that limited my time to goof off so I sat there bored out of my skull, not able to chat with JeepAngel. Get out of work about 12 to work on the Jeep (tie rod ends and install DS). Air comp at the hobby shoppe isn't working so everything is done manually and tie rods replaced (all freakin' 4 joints in the front end worn). So on to finally putting in the DS that has been sitting in the spare bedroom taunting me for a few months now and the get it all installed and turn the front tires and well F**K me its bent. Uninstall it and clean up and pay a $144.34 frickin' bill. So no wheelin' this weekend for me, back to having major wheelin withdrawls.

Tired but no real complaints - had some crappy places to work in today...
