Wasn't my deal, but probably the best deal I have EVER seen and if I didn't help find it in the classifieds, I wouldn't believe it. Back in 1989, when I was in the Navy, one of the Officers (who knew I was into cars), asked me to help him find a beater for weekend work. After sorting thru the usual papers and trader mags, we find a 63 chevy for $500. A couple days later he wants me to come to the parking lot to see the car he bought. I about crapped myself when I saw it....... a 1963 split window corvette.
