best deal i ever got was a 85' cj7 with 58,000mls on it for 600 bucks...well thats on a jeep
best deal i gave was
400 chevy block
350 block
350 block 4 bolt
350 block
all blocks were done up some .030 some .060
3 350 cranks
1 400 crank
edelbrock performance package form heads to air cleaner
487x heads ported stainless valves
2 pair of camel back head ported
1 set of socket head capscrew fasteners chevy
misc chrome and and stock parts including a high flow chrome water pump...new
all for 600.......cause I couldnt stand to have any chebby parts in the garage anymore......kinda kick myself on that one :shock:

Got my first car for a hundred bucks... old ass Chrysler LeBaron... Hatchback didn't work and we didn't figure that out till my dad went to check the spare and it slammed shut on his shoulders! The sucker used to stall anytime I came to a complete stop for more than 15 seconds... Lucky I didn't get a ticket for all the rolling stops I did! Never put a dime of work into it and drove it till it died... We sold it for parts to some poor soul for 250 bucks!!

Ya'll already know my best deal. My 87 XJ for free.
Did just get some 35" BFG A/Ts yesterday. about 90% tread, in exchange for some 5 on 5.5 rims. So, almost free.

My latest score, well I was gonna wait till I had it, but.....
I found for free, and the guy is gonna hold it for me:
225 V-6, was running when pulled, complete top to bottom
TH-400 with transfer case, Dana 20
front and rear driveshafts
some floor plates
All this outta a 69 Jeepster, and free, just gotta get up to Boston to get it.

I don't agree with how he did it but this is the best deal story ever told.
Local guy goes a farm in southern alberta. On the farm is a "Levi" editon CJ5. You know the one levis was a part of, with the denom seats.
Anyways they were asking 100.00 because the trans or t-case was busted, and they were just plain dumb. So he looks at it and it's mint. Pays the 100.00 and comes back next day wit a trailer.
They see him and ask if he needs the tractor to push it on the trialer. He says no. Starts the jeep AND PUTS THE T-CASE OUT OF NEUTRAL!! He drives it onto the trailer and drives away.
Seems the busted t-case was just in neutral so it would never go into gear.
Lord where was I for that deal.
Still think he was shady by not pointing out the t-case though. Especially when they offered to help with the tractor

Just got my first score of a good deal. Picked up a slightly banged up YJ tub a year ago. Not gonna get around to it anytime soon. A guy online asked if he could have it. I said $50 to give to my friend for keeping it on his property and he said sounds good. Anywho, fast forward a week and we were chatting on AIM about my computer crashing from trying to update my windows 98 to 2000. Turns out he has some nice hook ups. Instead of $50 for the tub, gonna trade me for a copy of AutoCAD 2004, Windows XP, and Office 2003! What a deal!! Plus I think I just talked him into instead of rebuilding his 258, to dropping in a 360. Sorry MUDRAT! Anywho, I pointed him towards this site, so keep an eye out!
