Hello I would like to share some problems I'm having. I can not get post 11j to work properly and have been using 11d.
Sheet cam 6.0.3, ethercut_ug, dtch lv,
I have updated the system using the master x updater for version 2014 and newer. The tried updating the hub admin. At first I went straight to 1.9. Then found out I had to update to 1.6 first. That didn't work so I started back with 1.3 and updated to 1.4, 1.5, 1.6. 1.7. Closing the hub ea time and turning of the the control box. I restarted the computer and updated to 1.9 which is the screens I posted. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or not. From our phone conversation I don't believe the hub admin updated correctly?

Put the 1.9 file in the file folder under C:\USB-485HUB4\Firmware It should show the Max up and Max down velocities. Make sure it is there first.

1.9 was in the right location but 1.6 wasn't. I moved 1.6 to the filmware folder then reupdated to the 1.6. exited out of hub admin and turned the controller off. waited 10sec and turned controller back on. updated back to 1.9 then restarted the hub admin. nothing changed

Hmmm yes your PC is not taking the changes. I am not sure why but you may need to send CandCNC an email on that one. You could try right clicking the update and running as administrator and see if the PC will take the change.

Ok thought i would give an up date. When installing updates from candcnc.com be vary care full which ones you down load and in the correct order. i had to create numerically numbered folders and save each down load in order. Not sure if this is correct but it worked for me. i have been using the master x installer or systems bought after 4-15-14 sense i bought my system 11-14 ish. On a last resort i down loaded the master installer for systems sold before 4-15-14. everything worked after that.
sense my computer wasn't saving correctly and my design computer in the house was crashing from updating to windows 10 (story for another time), i decided to get a laptop for design work and turn my old house computer into my machine computer. For this i used the master installer from candcnc dated for systems after 4-15-14 and every thing works great except the xbox controller. after down loading every file i could find on the mach support web site for the xbox plugin it still didn't work. A few quick responses from Matt telling me i dont have the correct programs installed (may have been 3-4 times, thanks for your patience Matt). I finally figured out that i needed to install the windows xbox driver for windows. After installing the 64bit version Mach would recognize the plugin but would crash when i enabled it. I could not install the 32bit driver due to compatibility issue. The fix was to copy the xbox controller dill file from the old computer to the new one. (found under c:/mach/plugins) i have not run any large projects yet but everything works perfectly so far and now i have a computer that can update, down load and design with wifi or turn it all off and run the table.

There are two versions the 32 and 64 bit installs for windows
So to get a controller working
1. Windows plugin (32 or 64)
2. Mach 3 plug in (then it must be enabled)
The firmware dates have a little to do with it but it has more to do with the versions. There were 1.1, 1.3, 1.6 and what we have now 1.9. We found very little would go from 1.3 to 1.9 without needing to restart and go from 1.3 to 1.6 to 1.9. There were only 2 Star Lab machines ever produced with 1.1
