New to the forum here and looking to hopefully share and gain new info to help out on my new Bulltear 5x10 table with Hypertherm Powermax 85. Just recently received about 4 or 5 weeks ago. Looked like it had a rough trip but nothing major damaged except a bent reference tab for the x axis and a broke link on the cable chain. The Best part about these tables is that it almost matches my tractor to a tee:headbang:. I had a little bit of computer issues but Matt is in the Process of taking care of it now. Don't make fun of my set up in my barn, planning on pouring some concrete this spring, but couldn't pass up the awesome deal Matt had going on at the end of last year.

I'm so jealous!

Got my computer back yesterday and went to try it this am and the breaks will click with the reset button but it will not allow me to move any of the axis. Any thoughts?

New computer is working great. Had to load adobe on to read the pdf files and when I loaded it, it dropped the ip address for the machine, which was a head scratcher, but After reading the manual that I put adobe on to read, I got it squared away pretty quick. Only trouble I'm having now is that the Xbox controler won't move the machine. Any thoughts?

Here was a stange problem I had. happend about a month back and I went away with wiggling a wire. Last week it came back again. The
Y axis sounded terible, almost like it was binding up.

pulled the heat shrink back and found the green wire was pulling loose. Crimped a new connector and it was good to go again.

Here some stuff I've cut out on it.

It does a great job on .5 plate with 65 amp want to give 45 amps a try on it.

Hmm those cuts look great. We will keep a sharp eye out for those wires.
Walter
It cuts fantastic! I'm amazed with it. Want to give the wiggle peirce a try with some 45 amps on .5", going from 85 to 65 made a big difference. Any thoughts on the Xbox controler not working?

Go to Mach 3/config/config plug ins and see if it is turned on or even in there. If not I can send you a download link.
Walter
Checked the configuration plugins and no luck probably gonna have to download it. Just got it back in place after pouring concrete. Cut out a few brackets out of .5" and a top for my welding table.

Then install and go to Mach3/Config/Config plun ins and enable the plug in. Then config it. We config like this (we only make these changes to how it comes in the program)
X Set X home
Y Set Y home
B Stop
A Cycle start
Right joystick up and down Z axis
Start zero all

Never had much luck with the wiggle pierce. The ramp pierce seems to work much better. Set pierce delay to almost nothing. Cut some 3/4 with a PowerMax 65. Shoots quite a rooster tail on the pierce, but will do it without fouling the nozzle. I think the book says max pierce is 5/8.
Walter
I'll have to gI've it a try when I get some thicker stuff to cut. About 1/2 is the thickest if cut. I've got some 1.25 stuf I'd like to try at some point with it but probably have to edge start.

Still having trouble with mach3 shutting the pc down. Got everything hooked straight to 20 amp recepticals with 20 amp breaker and 12 guage wire. Still scratching my head over it. Any more thoughts Matt?

It most likely is not related to Mach at all other than it is running when it happens and has control of the Ethernet port. Do you notice anything turning on when it happens like your air compressor?
Walter
Doesn't happen when the compressor comes on or off. Just happened while the compressor was just running. Could coiled up ethernet cables cause an issue. I may try to get some shorter ones. Computer stand is right at the box about 4 ft away

I wonder if you aren't experiencing a power failure or a power fluctuation on the AC portion for the PC. You mentioned you had 120v circuit for the PC and a separate one for the control box. They aren't on the same breaker are they?
Walter
I've got the blade runner on the same breaker with the THC and the computer is a different breaker with the Ethernet hub.

Got windows updated yesturday on and my computer and still does the same thing. Any other thoughts?
