I have an AMC 360 in my CJ5 and had a Holly 4160 600CFM ontop of an Edelbrock Performer Dual Plane intake. I have had a lot of problems with this carb running great one day, horrible the next. In the mean time, until I get my tbi kit, I was going to put my old motorcraft on since I haven't had issues having to constantly tune it. Does anyone think there would be an issue doing this?

If the carb came from a 360, probably not. If it came from a 304 the jetting is probably too small for a 360, and you could end up with problems. Just make sure you have good seals at the adapters so there are no vacuum leaks.
I ran a 4160 for years on my 360. Only problem I ever had was the bi-metal spring on the electric choke broke, allowing the choke to fall partially closed at idle, The Howell TBI setup was the best off-road upgrade I ever did.

Yes it did come from a 304 and I didn't think about the jet sizes. Thanks tufcj!
