i drive a 79' 360AMC engine in my CJ7 Jeep, my engine is 0,60 over an need a rebuilt, it is possible to go 0,80 over with the costum Pistons from Bulltear ?
anyone here done that? can there be problems ? which moly rings can i use?
next idea is to use 401engine pistons, but i dont know if it can work
it is in germany not so easy to find a original 360 block,
the engine shop says they could machine it out and make sleeves to go with original sized Pistons, but it cost triple the price of machining the block to 0,80 and good Pistons i need too.
I drive a lot offroad competitions here an a few more cui are not bad.

Ring availability will tell you if its possible or not. I can tell you that a vast majority of 360 blocks from the 70s will go .085" over to get a 4.165 from a 4.08 which gives you a 401 bore. We done motors like that and pistons.

can i use the original 401 pistons in 4.165 with my original 360 piston rods, this would be a great

You can't use a standard 401 piston because of the size of the wrist pin. Stock 401 is 1.00", a 360 is .930". I don't know if there is enough meat on the small end of the 360 rods to enlarge them for the 401 wrist pin.
