Is a gasket needed when installing the oil filter relocater, part #626? I have the kit and it did not come with a gasket. I see there are gaskets that come with the mid plate but not with the relocater. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Yes gasket is needed and install it dry. You also typically do not recieve a gasket with the oil filter relo kit.

What gasket do you recommend? Is a stock replacement ok or should I use the .007 gasket from you? And if a gasket is needed why is it not included in the kit, shouldn't it be?

How you test if you have a .007 is put it in and tighten two opposing 1/4-20 bolts (there are 7 holding the plate to the T-cover). Take a screw driver and try to turn the pump if it binds or is bound up your stuck using the thicker gasket. For 80% of the used T-cvoers out there the thicker (stock) gasket works fine.
