I need a filter w/a by-pass since I have installed the bulltear block off plug (I guess that is what you call it) and I don't want a Fram.
Does someone know of a brand?
WIX does not have the By-Pass in their filter.

The bypass is only there so that if the filter media gets so dirty that the oil can't get through it, it goes around it. So basically in bybass mode you're running unfiltered oil through your motor (and the dirt already in the filter is recirculated).
I've run the WIX 51258 and 51049 filters on many AMC V-8s with the bypass blocked and never had a problem. Just change the filter and oil every 3000 like you're supposed to.

You dont need a bypass filter to run one of those filter bypass plugs.
