i'm in need of a comp. for a 97 Grand Cherokee Loredo with a 4.0/auto, what years will interchange?

Can't help on direct interchange, but once you get to OBDII systems (96 and newer), they're pretty specific. The replacement will have to have the same engine/trans, and may require a re-flash with the dealer for all the accessories to work right.

thanks Bob, we got one from a 96 4.0 auto and it seems to be correct, the cruise control even works now where as it didn't before lol
