Hello all, I have a MC-2100 and I want to rebuild it and install it on Peaches but the move from Florida to Nevada has me thinking about elevation (4000') and the temp is from 10* to 110*.
Not sure what to do or if that affects the carb that is why I'm asking you all (snow people :) & elevation).
I know in Florida some were having problems w/jet but that was due to the fuel to engine combo if memory serves.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Jim

In the Holley tuning guide, they suggest 1 jet size smaller for every 2000 ft elevation gain, AND 1 jet size smaller for every 10 degree drop in INTAKE air temp, or 1 size larger for a 10 degree gain (not outside air temp). Their carbs leave the factory jetted for sea level and 70 degrees.
Unless you know what vehicle the 2100 came off of (displacement), you really can't go from what's in there. Best bet is to use a dyno with an exhaust gas analyzer and do a few pulls.

Thank you, I will give it a shot.
