I am finishing up swapping a 82 Waggy 360 into my 83 Scrambler and I am not sure about the wiring for the new engine. I can't find all the info out there. I have been told to keep the 6 cyl harness and fit it to the v8. The v8 needs its distributor wiring from the waggy harness. Is there anything else I need to do? I am learning as I go on this and when the harness is together it'll be ready to fire up. Thanks

You will need to splice the purple wire from the ignition control box to you distributor plug. Otherwise the wires are very similar.

How's the rest of the 83 wiring harness look? My 85 was pretty ragged and I just replaced it all with a 12 ckt Painless set up (#10101).
