will a gm one wire alt fit in place of a stock cj alt using stock jeep brackets

I use a GM 1 wire on my 360 with stock mounts, I just had to modify the alternator a bit. I cut the long mounting hole down a bit. Sorry, no pics, at work today.

I am using a 1-wire with the bulltear brackets. Works fantastic.
