djaponi3 .....from the machine shop , the small ends of the rods are discolored as in high heat, is this normal ? I understand they are press fit but wouldnt that weaken the rod ? they are aftermarket forged rods.
ironman_gq they usually heat the ends of the rods to press the piston pins on sometimes they overdo it. I would bring em back and run it by them.
