But I got another one.
I'll still be turning wrenches, a friend of mine from my Toyota days bought a shop last year and needs some help. I think this will be a good change, just have some health ins stuff to work out yet.

Thanks MC! I thought I'd be making a trip up this year again, but I haven't got much done on my projects this winter, trying to get the body work started on the J20. I got the rockers and pushrods out of my ticky wag motor, they look OK, do you think I could still have a bad lifter making the tick? I plan to pull the intake yet and take a look.

Here's what I found I got a pic posted here at IFSJA

Take a look at the link, check the pic of what I found. I did pull the intake, all lifters pulld right out on the end of a screwdriver, all faces looked good. I think what I found was in there from someone else having it apart and leaving extra parts. I had never been in this motor before, bought it with the tick, I could hear it rolling over with the starter last time I started it and had to keep priming the carb.

Thanks! :t: And I think we'll stay warm the worst of the cold should be pretty much done, but we could be in for plenty of snow yet, used my 82 J20 to push snow out of mine twice today.

Best of luck with the new job!! :lo1l: :lo1l:
It was tough for me to retire, but the company put me in a job I absolutely hated, so it was time to move on. Now I'm glad I did, because the new job is enjoyable again. Sometimes things work out for the best.

Thanks! Not too tough for me to leave where I've been nearly 7 years, just going to be a PITA finishing the 2 weeks. I assembled a subrau trans that I'm putting in tomorrow hoping it all works, I told my new boss that I had that subrau trans apart, he's a tech that is one of the sharpest guys I know and 20 years older than me, he just says "They got you doing what?" I had it apart for a bearing noise, hoping it goes in good works right and is quiet.

Getting settled. Going to have a party late June/early July for my 50th. Hope to have my Jeep home by then. It's still sitting at my brother's house in Illinois. MC, you and Krista are always welcome.
