I am currently building a 1970 390 for an AMX. I plan to use a 72 later 401 crank (if you have a spare let me know). My dilemma: My car currently has an OK rebuilt M12. I want to go to a 727. My financial position will not allow a new 727 sooner than later but I want to drive the car. Do I need an adapter/is there an adapter that would allow me to run the late model crank and a M12? If not, Plan B is to use a 390 crank w/ the adapter you sell. I lose cubes and need 390 pistons which are not as available. Probably will need .040 over pistons. Does the crank need to be machined for your adapter?
