Long story short I didnt use any sealent when putting in the brass freeze plugs in the block. Now my engine is in the CJ and nearly ready to start. They went in snug and the holes where cleaned and honed. Am I going to have coolant leaks? I didnt think you had to use sealant with brass plugs?

Well I just read a few places that if the holes are really clean some people dont use any sealant. If I had to do it again I woudl but at this point it might be worth trying it like it is.

Most likely you'll be OK.

I've never used sealant, never had one leak. You'll be fine.

Fire it up with water only - no coolant. If they leak you will have less of a mess to clean up and an easier time sealing them.
We always use GM sealer.

I always took the time to clean everything well before re-assembly...used no sealant...had no leaks. You should be just fine!
