This is my prize 1963 CJ5 rock crawler that due to the lack of interest and the need of money for property taxes, I must let go. I easily have $15000 invested in this and the only thing left on it that’s 1963 is the rear axle housing.
Here’s what’s been done;
- Dana 30 disc brake front end w/4:88 gears and a Lock-rite and Warn hubs(27 Spline)
- Dana 44 offset rear with 11” brakes w/4:88 gears and a power lock, full float with 27 spline Warn hubs
- Early 80’s DJ frame with outboard rear YJ leaf springs and Rancho 3” front springs, shackle reversal
- New drive shafts
- 1979 229 Chevy v6 injected on propane
- t-18 granny low Ford transmission mated to Spicer 18 transfer case
- 67 Jeepster front clip
- 76 CJ5 tub
- Warn 8000# upright winch
- Power steering
- Recent Best top
- Toyo Open Country’s 35x13.50r15lt on custom offset steel rock crusher wheels
- Wiring harness, 16 circuit, purchased from THE JEEP GUY here in Portland
- 3 propane fuel tanks, 2 mounted + a spare
- Permanent Oregon SP tags, can and will drive on the street, but in limited amounts with these tags
- And much too much more to list
Here’s what needs to be finished;
- Needs to have a roll cage built
- Needs exhaust redone
- Has some minor electrical gremlins searched out
This Jeep has been on most of the trails at Moab, Rubicon, Fordyce, Barrett Lake, and Browns Camp to name a few. This Jeep has been a constant work in progress for me for the last 25 years or so, but time to move on. Really need to get $4500 out of this, but cash talks so make me an offer. Not too interested in any trades, but Hi-Pro AMC parts, slicks, nitrous, rear drag race suspension stuff could spark an interest as part trade. I work odd hours but I’m available from 9 in the evening till about 9 in the morning at 503-784-1622 during the week and all weekend. Leave a message or email and I’ll get back to you. My email address is thigh19@comcast.net and check out more pictures at http://thigh190.tripod.com/id13.html Keep in mind that this is an almost completed project.
