360 leaking near the oil pump? Fixed

Hey guys,

I have a newer reman 360 less then 2000 miles on it. Just recently I developed an annoying oil leak near the oil pump. I can't pin point where it is coming from so I can fix it. It drips enough to concern me. It appears that it only leaks while the engine is running but I can't find the leak at idle or at 2000+ RPM while parked in the barn. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Pan bolts tight
Oil filter new
5 quarts new oil
Oil pressure at idle 15-20 lbs/ cruising speed 60 lbs
Lower pump bolts tight
Oil slightly weeps from the front of the pan

After a short drive I find oil residue all over the filter, oil pump, bottom of the alternator.

I've had the diaphragm in the oil sender go bad and ooze oil. since it's only under pressure when running, that's the only time it leaks. It's just above the oil filter. I've also heard of tiny cracks in the filter adapters (the lower cover on the oil pump), they aren't expensive to replace. Bob tufcj

Picked up a new sending unit and will install it tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully, this is the fix.
