Yes.
I picked up a 78 I-6 block, built it (bore, balance, cross drilled and micro polished the crank) then dropped it in my daughters 87. Only difference was the flexplate mounting. The cranks were drilled different between the 78 and 87. otor mounts and everything else is the same if your swapping whole blocks.
