jeepsr4ever Its neat to scan and we do have probing capabilities on 2 of our CNC mills but when there is so many efficiencies to add to a part why start from the original (speak in behalf of BT) Otherwise its a neat toy.. Couple that with a $40,000.00 3d printer from ZCorp and you are $44K from making a sand casting of whatever you want.
ironman_gq so for under 100k you could basically have your own small parts foundry couple that with your machine capabilities and you could basically build you own anything :!: (Do I smell a Bulltear all billet 500ci+ AMC engine?) :?
Patf10 those z corp machines are pretty cool, although they are a pain in the butt and expensive to run. engine block would be a little outside the size capabilities of one of those guys though
