Power Steering Pump

Is this normal or do all 360's have their PS-Pump 10 miles up in the air. I was looking @ the bracket & there doesn't look like ther is another way. The way it sits now I would have to buy new P-Steering hoses.

Mine's the same. It's a real PITA for setting up full hydro steering.

There is no way to mount it in the hole under it by the fuel pump or something? Does it hit the hood (CJ)?

My 304 is the same way. I doesnt hit the hood but i could interfere with an HEI dizzy cap depending on what belt you have and how you clock your dizzy. It does make it very easy to check the fluid and change lines (blew 6 return lines in the driveway within a week while it was -20 to -30 outside) and the lines gravity bleed pretty well.

I understand. I did this to Peaches Jeep dizzy the other day & plan on doing something similar to the 360 as well. So, this might hit, got to test it.

?-What goes in that BIG hole under the pump then (not the fuel pump, it wouldn't take up that much room), or was it just one of those days the designer got weird.

Well it seems like the PS pump is pretty high and yes it does interfere with the HEI dizzy a little - I had to get a little longer belt to tilt it back a bit. And yes, there is the mech fuel pump under it. The bottom of the PS bracket supports the upper side of a smog pump if you have one (I don't).

No smog stuff here & I found a front bracket in stock I will be installing, @ least I will have some room. Thanks again :t:
