I'm stuck with calilforina smog laws and I can't switch out the oem carb.
So here is my problem I was under the assumption that the stock carb would fit the new Edelbrock intake #3731 EGR.To my dismay the bolt pattern is not even close.Is there any hope for me.

There is an adapter available but since there is no provision for a choke stove in the Edelbrock manifold, it doesnt matter. Its not a legal swap.
With the 2bbl, the Edelbrock manifold isnt going to give you anything anyways.

you would be better off getting one of the C.A.R.B. approved efi kits and running that. it will give you better mileage and a pretty good bump in power and drievability over the 2bbl carb.

For give me, but what is a "choke stove?" If it is what I think it is, would not an electric choke work if I could get such a unit?

the choke stove is the tube that comes off the choke houseing and loops into the intake.
