Agree, electric choke is convienent.

If the Horseshoe tube is intact with no rust through holes in the tube loop
it can be bolted back in place on the intake with a good gasket the way it is
and the 2 tube holes on top of the flange can be left open.
If a spare is on hand, just cut the tube loop off and plug weld the 2 tube holes, make it a block-off plate.
Or if the means are available, make a block off-plate from 3/16 plate,
and save the existing horsehoe plate for another day, if it's in good shape.
Holley may even still sale a block off-plate for the AMC intake choke stove hole.
It's listed as Holley Part No. 301-24 in an old catalog on hand.
