Some of you from other forums may remember me from when I was a dedicated Jeep owner. I failed, and am giving up on her. I know, I know, but I need a daily driver. Bought it last year for $700, put in another 7 or 800, and now need it gone, as I will be sued by my ex if I don't move it.
I basically replaced the alternator and battery several times, fixing what I thought was the problem in between. This included battery mounts, terminal cables, a shredded wire or 2, to no avail. She will start, with jumper cables. She will drive as far as a charged battery will get her. If you live far, you may want to tow it. Once she starts, she runs fine. I had a bunch of other stuff done as well, like replacing some fuel sensor thing and flushing the brake lines and tranny. There is a hole in the gas line, so it can only take 8 gallons of fuel in a shot.
******UPDATE*****
Actually the thing I was thinking of that got replaced was the VOLTAGE REGULATOR (not the fuel thingie). Actually, I think I should mention that after I replaced that, it worked. I went to sart it the next day, and it wouldnt. Then I realised I left on the radio, so that may kave killed the battery. I never bothered to try it again, as I left for Massachusetts 2 days later.
So actually, it may be fine. I forgot about that. Either way, I can't afford the rest of it.

I won't lie, I can no longer try to figure out what's wrong, and even if I did, I probably couldn't fix it myself. Please give her a good home.
PM me here or get my email from the link that dan58 posted. There is a slideshow and video available. You should know that there are some primer spots now where the rust was emerging.
 I'm sad....but it must be done. I've gone back and forth too much....it's time to let go. :banghead:
