Supercharger

I know this is a little far out, but what are the options for supercharging the amc engine? Building a 401 for my CJ7, like to see the face on my buddy with the blown mustang cobra when he gets beat by a jeep. Gotta go at least high 11's. Anybody done it?

Fuzz wasn't supercharged, at least the last I know of, but he wasn't far at all from high 11's, and I suspect he'll be there when he gets his beast back together after putting it on a diet (losing the t-case) and freshening up the engine.

Thats right.. Jeez I combined blown 7 and Fuzz.. damn I am getting old.. Fuzz was in the low 12's if i remember right.

I believe Fuzz's best so far is 12.059 seconds at 107.71 mph. Can't get much closer to 11's than that.

12.059 was my best on just motor looking for low to mid 11's when it is back together

12.059 is pretty fast for a naturally aspirated engine. Somewhere I read you are using a 750 Holley, is that right? How much hp/torque do you think you have? What are you going to do to make it faster?

no I am useing this thrown together carb a 950 dropped the mach. fule pump going to elec. now

have no ideal on HP/torque goes from point A to point B in 12 sec numbers are for talking what shows on the board at the end of the track is all that matters to me

lose around 125 to 150 lb off of it

went with this now

removed this
gas tank and skid plate
transfercase and skid plate
carter fule pump and 3/8 line

Very impressive. What did you use for a manifold, carb, supercharger? Is that installed a a vehicle? Intercooler? How much boost? Internal mods?

Manifold is a Blower Drive Service
No Carbs, Bug Catcher with 16 injector EFI using a FAST ECM
6-71 GMC blower set up by me

Installed in a CJ 7
Boost is 10 PSI
All forged bottom end.

So.. to answer your questions.. yep it can be done .. and is being done.. and well If you put it in a stripped down flat fender with a glass body.. you could get into the 9's.. of course..you would have to be outta yer friggen mind.. but hey thats what jeep ownership is all about.. hmmm tube frame glass body no windshield.. any body remember the altereds?? Nanook and others??
