Got a 74 CJ5 (trail rig) with a healthy 304 which i have literally driven the crap out of over the last 15yrs. Looking to swap ole faithful out and drop in a 401. What year model is the best and what vehicle other than the Grand Wagoneer can i look for. I found a cool yard with several Wagoneers (hope i get lucky). Planning on doing a few mods like cam, HEI, and fuel injection. I ran onto a rig with a 401 the other day (now im HOOKED) got to get one.
