76-cj7 Hood was worse but i kicked it out and windshield frame was bent further but bent it back so i could drive it out  The shitty part was that windshield frame was rust free and had a brand new windshield #-o
tufcj Looks like it's REALLY time to invest in a good full cage. You can get a repro windshield frame from places like 4WD Hardware for under $150, glass at local windshield places for under $100 installed. With the windshield frames, check to see that there's a rib between the wiper arm holes, if there isn't, they flex and crack with age. Fenders, hood, grille? Pound them out and keep going, call them "battle scars". :!: :lo1l: Bob tufcj
76-cj7 haha so far thats what im doing bob.......got a decent frame from a buddy with good glass and the hood and fenders got a beating from the rubbery mallet :?
Mudrat How'd YOU make out in that deal? I remember taking a CJ-5 end-over-end and busted a couple knuckles ... Totaled mine though, broke both axles, bent the frame, and bent everything else - including the 'roll bar'
Ibby tufcj wrotePound them out and keep going, call them "battle scars". I was gonna say, that should all just buff right out... 😉
76-cj7 haha i ended up just fine....no seat belt but one hell of a grip on the wheel kept me in place. I beat out the dents and its a lil bit ugly but ill live and as far as the roll bar, frame, and axles.....just perfectly fine, did blow a tire off bead but that was an easy fix thanks to my buddies on board air :t:
