Mudrat how did the new gears align up?Mine were not at an angle but they seemed to be evenly slightly off!On the one pic it looks like yours is the same have you driven on this case yet and if so any problems?Teralo said not to worry about it but you know how it goes!Let me know mine isnt in yet still making up the skid plate tranny pan to accomidate the 2.72 black box and tera low d300 !Mike :t:

Mike, I have so many things going on right now . . . what gears are you talking about? The cam/crank gears? Inside the Diff? The D300 4:1 kit? The Tranny to Diff? Main gas turbines to Power turbine (only on the LM2500) or the GTG to generator? (Allison 1500 gas turbines) :shock: I'll be glad to help, but need to know what on??? :-|

I like the General Electric LM2500's... The Allison Generators are good too... 8) I used to hate filling the Loscas(sp) for the LM2500's... with 23699... that crap is death in a can!!! 🙁:

Former EOOW, but now a Project Manager for NAVSEA installing Integrated Ship Controls (Smart Ship) in CG's and soon starting on DDG's. But yesterday I was a technician troubleshooting a dual UPS failure that essentially killed computerized engine control to the port shaft. :shock: LOCOPs, LOSCAs, OD Boxes, PLAs yup, still deal with'm :wink:

So how was the transition from the Nav to the Navsea world :? I worked with the GS's (Mechanical Side)... I learned what I could got bored with it etc... I had plans man... plans! hahaha Well, after two years of reading the books, filling/wiping oil, plenum inspections, uptakes, playing with the borescopes.. inspecting etc... I thought I could get the basics from the Navy... in 4 years, get out get my associates degree get picked up at the GE field engineer school and go out to the field and make the 6 figures a year and do that for 5 to 10 years and retire happy in a log cabin on the top of a mountain with my Jeeps and dogs.... hahahah Wow, was that a dream... Well, 8 years later... I'm still in Norfolk, making little money keep adding to the jeep collection etc... Ahhh yes, what could've been hahaha... Anyway, I've been back in Va for a week... Had to come back... get to play sailor tomorrow.... I need to check my schedule and we have to meet up so I can get the goods from you... (I walk past your building everyday!) Tomorrow I should be walking by around 0530... What do you drive again?

Gold Dodge 2500 4 door. It's in front of W130 unless I'm at MARMC or on a ship at the low end - or on travel :-|

What ship are you on? I'll be on CG61 tomorrow mid-morning to turnover some parts. And down on the DDG51 sometime tomorrow too.

You know now that you mention it.. There was company out here in Sedalia Colorado, that built match grade recievers for AR/ 10's and 15's called BOHICA... I have one. And, getting back on track, cjmike67 I only have about 1/8th inch "misalignment" on the rear output big gear. Everything else is square up. I can crack the case open for a pic if you want, it's still occupying space on my workbench. With the bum shoulder I can't lift it right now :oops: I even tore the case all the way back down and checked shims, but all was in accordance with (IAW for you acronym junkies :mrgreen: ) the instructions for end play :wink:
