Tools?

OK,
So I‚Äôm tearing down my 3 year old drill press to find out why I‚Äôm wobbling (.050 worth!!) and find the arbor and spindle 'friction burned'! I mean these parts are so scored no wonder I'm wobbly :-| #-o

Go to McMaster-Carr and they want $48 for a 4 3/8" M2 to JT3 arbor (to fit the 5/8 chuck), I couldn‚Äôt find the spindle. :smile:

So, I was forced to call customer service (it‚Äôs a 16 speed Harbor Freight press).

It's always not-a-pleasure to speak to a fur-n-er (Indian or a Paki in this case) and they want $2.16 for the same $48 arbor!! I ordered it just to see WTF it is!!

Guess I'll find out in 10-14 days. In the mean time - I B Drill'n me sum wobbly hoes!!!

Yeah, I know. But I'm on a budget :oops: If I could find the spindle I'd get them from McMasters (at least it would be hardend steel!) and new bearings to boot.
