Currently I have original factory wheels(16inch ) on my 97 gr. cherokee. Are there any other rims I can use in their place? Is there a plain steel 16 inch wheel? I was told I could not switch to all 15"s because it would screw up tranny &axles.Any thoughts? thank you,JJL

Your tranny and axles don't care what size your tires are AS LONG AS they are ALL THE SAME SIZE!, I believe that 15" wheels will fit on the Grand Cherokee's? but I could be wrong?, they DO have bigger brakes than the Cherokee's and Wranglers.

Were those original?
Common on the 93~98 Grand is usually a 15" unless it was a special edition like a 98 Grand 5.9 Limited or a TSI.

My 97 gr.cherokee is a tsi hence the 16 inch wheels . Can I use the 15 inch wheels off of the older 93-up grand cherokees? thank you JJL

front shouldn't have any problems since they're all the same. I'd test fit one on the rear if you have rear disc brakes.

15s will have no problems with clearance. The ZJs used a D35 or D44(alum). The disks used on the ZJs are often swapped onto TJs because TJs didn't have rear disks until 03, IIRC.
