Just got my matched distributor gears, and was wondering why the cam gear is silver instead of black like original stock gears?

Hardend 4160 steel, and they are a matched set so be sure to install both of them :t:

I am looking at putting in an HEI disributor in my YJ with the 4.2 I have an idea of what to do. But I am getting 2 different stories on what to do. Any input would be helpful! :shock:

Chris on the cam gears they needed to get done and they wwerent sent out for black oxide coating.
As far as the 4.2ltr HEI swap you need to use a SOFT AMC gear from a V8.

I have 2 360s and both have a distributor so can I use that gear?
