I need help Identifying a clutch style limited slip for a Dana 60.
Some one gave this to me a few years ago and I don't remember if he said it was a trac lock or power lock. What is the difference. I took the thing apart and it had three clutch plates with tangs plus 2 conical plates per side. The conical ones I assume give the proper spring preload.
Anyone????????????????

I'm not positive on the 60, but for the 30 and 44, the power-lock has a 2 piece case held together with left-handed bolts, and 4 spiders. The track-lock is a one piece case with 2 spiders.

Which works best in the a 44?

I can tell you that this is a two piece case, bolts look right handed and the cross pin is set for 2 spider gears.

I have the Dana repair manual for a Dana 60 Power-Lock in a PDF file. PM me with your email and I can send it to you. It's about 1.6MB.

Thank you very much.........

PowerLoc's MUST be slit to get to the guts, TracLoc's will not slplit, the guts are removed from the "windows" in the case.
The PowerLoc is a FAR superior unit to the TracLoc in ANY aplication.
