An AMC 727 from a 80-up FSJ will already have the appropriate adapter on it. That route is what I usually recommend to CJ owners, but you'll need to have at least about 4" of lift for the front driveshaft to clear the trans pan. 727's were intended for use with driver-drop cases that probably have a larger cross-car input centerline to front output centerline dimension.
