Soylent_Green wroteYou're good. Remember, water boils at 212F, and even higher, when under pressure.
Mine runs at 180 - 190 all day long even in the heat. (460 ford with factory 1978 radiator, 180F stat, mechanical Flex-a-lite fan and no fan clutch)
And even higher with antifreeze in it. My Vette hits 235 to 240 in traffic in hot weather. The high side of the fan doesn't even kick in til 235.
Our new 401 usually runs about 180 to 190, but hits 210 on occasions on really hot muggy days when cruising down the highway. It actually runs cooler in traffic at low speeds.
