Now here's a thought, ...
Jeff, you may need a replacement frame when you twist that one up -
Rich you have a 'spare' frame and (body) plus a spare D60 (soon)
see where this is going  :t:

Well this frame was one of the last custom frames Phil Matkins made and I modified for a double triangulated four link so it's manufactured out of 1/4 inch wall 2x5 box tubing with top and bottom 1/4 inch caps. That ain't never gonna twist.
Now yesterday I drove over to the landfill scales to get a total vehicle and front and rear axle weight to order the front Eibach coil over springs from Poly Performance. and this pig weighs in at 5040 Lbs with full fluids minus the nose and windsheild.
But the front and rear axle weights are within 40 pounds!
2540 verses 2500
Mudrat
Well being an A&P sorta guy, I'm not surprised the weight and balance was so close. And I don't think the weight to HP ratio will be too outta whack even with a 5040 HD frame

I guess thats why just about everyone has heartburn with the AMC V-8 series...... and thats why I went the external route with the Moroso racing pump.

Just an update, I've got 200 road miles on her now, many 0-130 MPH digs, (could be a higher MPH but I run out of gear on the TH400) and Oil Pressure still is rock steady at 70 PSI whether it is Idle or WOT.
No problems to report at this time other than lots of fun and I have to remember to give the Jeep wave all over again.
The Coilover/4 link drives better than any CJ I ever drove.
High speed off road does take a little getting used to for body sway can be unnerving. Even though it is planted, it feels funny (like what you see in Baja when the trophy trucks run on the asphalt at the start where the front wheel is lifted around a corner, but the truck is still balls out.

I want pics of the front wheels off the ground! :? I can only imagine doing 130 in a CJ [-o< I get scared at 50 in mine!
Great job!
