JoshF I am new to Jeeps and AMC stuff and I need some help. I am planning to swap an AMC 360 and/727 combo into my 89 yj in place of the 258/ax15. I have the motor mounts from the wagoneer that donated this combo. Will these work? Does anyone have any measurements of where they should mount? Will my transmission mount in the same place? (If so i will use it to locate the engine trans assembly) If not what is the best way to proerly locate the engine and transmission? Any information at all is greatly appreciated.
jeepsr4ever Josh welcome aboard! We have about 5 or so guys that have done that swap here. Send a PM to "413 Wrangler" He should be able to point you in the right direction.
questmann I just finished a 360 swap into an 88 and your best bet is going to be to mock it all up. Put the engine and trans in and set the raditor and everything in place. The farther forward you can put it the longer your drive shaft will be, which should help if your jeep is lifter. Hope that helps. Derek
mika01 shawn wroteWhe I did this, I just used the Advanced Adapters Mounts, worked great. X2 on the AA mounts. Not too expensive, they need to be welded on though. Your T-Case should bolt right up.
