neptco19 How much of a shot can a stock 360 handle. Not looking for anything crazy, thinking of putting a 50-75 shot on it and just wanna make sure its not going to blow something out the side of the block the first time I hit the fun button
neptco19 Thats good to know, Im just wanting a little more power when Im having some trouble getting over a "little" rock 😃 Heres what its going in...
jeepsr4ever ! Jeep looks great! I am not sure if rocks and NOS should even be in the same sentence. :?:
fifesjeep  Dude, you have to film it when you're going over a "Little" rock and you punch the NO2... :happy1: I want to see the Jeep launch and then toss a rod out the side of the block  I can't imagine NO2 and and rock crawling... that in-itself should be a sport all to it's own... Sort of like Rock Racing.. CRAZY! (Love to watch it)
tufcj The biggest problem with NOS on a stock 360 is the cast pistons. They won't survive long if the mixture goes lean. Make sure you have plenty of fuel flow and pressure before leaning on the power button. Most NOS systems are designed to be used only at WOT. They have relays (which I'm sure can be deleted) to only arm at WOT. Mixture/flow are much more predictable at WOT than at part throttle. If you're on/off the throttle, you're going to have a lot of fuel/air in the intake manifold just waiting for the slightest ignition source. :!: :!: I predict a BIG BOOM. Make sure you get pics !! :!: :!: Bob tufcj
Goose Let me check for understanding here.. Low range 4 wheel drive, rock crawling and NoS in a 360 powered Jeep.. Dude when you hit that button .. I am willing to bet that rods exiting the block will be the least of the mayhem.. In 4 low?? I'm betting on the T-case or an axle shaft first.. Nice Jeep though. and what the hell Have fun! it will be spectacular no matter what happens! :!:
neptco19 I've got a MSD 6al ignition in it with the rev. limiter on it, so that may help hold the engine together....Planning on rebuilding this thing this winter, so I may wait till later the summer/fall to give it a shot and see what happens, at least that way if it does go kaboom it will be time to rebuild it anyway.
fifesjeep hahaha YES!!! Dude, you have to film every second of this death defying, no regards for life or machine and spectators around... hahaha It'll be in there like a thong on a fat lady....
