76-cj7 304 .060 over stock compression, mild cam, dui distributor, msd 6al, 570 cfm street avenger with edelbrock shorty headers and performer intake.......ive got splitfires in it now and ive been wanting to switch to an autolite but denso pn. 2032? with fit it too......ive heard good about NGK, DENSO, and AUTOLITE but which should i run in y'alls opinion?
fifesjeep NGK Denso Autolite Champion.... they're all good just find one that best suites the engines need... Here are some nice ones... check the site below.. http://www.briskracing.com/content/multi-spark.php
Rhinolined360 I use champion with my 360 .030 over because they are like a $1.25. I just gap them a little over the recommended
AMX69PHATTY Spark Plugs are a science unto themselves. Heat range I'm still trying to get a handle on. Has to do with how far the tip sticks out of the body and how well heat collects and is moved away from the tip. The farther the tip sticks out the more it's out in the flame path and it can better ignite the mixture but it can get hot. I've been running AutoLite #65 in my 360 with 10:1 and pump gas. AutoLite's quality appears higher than champion to me. It's amazing to me how much there is to sparkplugs.
76-cj7 I was looking at the Autolite 65 plugs......65, AP65, and APP65. I was lookin in our catalog and discovered that all AMC's put in trucks, cj's, and wag's used a 65, but in all AMC cars they used a 66 series plug which the 66 would be one notch hotter plug.....so therefore on a low compression motor like mine a 66 would work great gapped at .055? or lower ???? i have a 50,000 volt GM HEI setup with a MSD 6AL box. I dont want to go with a standard copper core 66 but a AP66 but AutoDoom dont stock them!!!! :(: Oh and by the way......as much hipe as ive heard about the SplitFires........i dont think they are all that they are talked up aboot 8)
Goose I havent seen any improvement form the splitfire.. I also tried the Bosch 4 prong plugs..They seemed to make a slight difference.
