401 in Maryland

401 Block, crank and rods! Block is bored.060 over,decked.010,finished honed,align bored,cam bearings installed,ready to assemble!
Crank is .010 on the mains,std on rods!
rods have been shot peened,beams polished,and arp bolts installed blanced to +/- 1 gram and reworked center to center!
New set of arp head bolts pn#114-3602!
Also have a junk 360 to use for the small parts,oil pump/timing cover,ass. brackets,pullies,ect,ect.....$1000

I work 2nd shift & went to bed early! Anyway I was building it for my cj also! Ran out of money and time! Was going with the kb 354 pistons and the edelbrock RPM stuff!

The 401 are tuff to find locally. I noticed they either in the north west or east coast. I wish I knew some truckers , eh!!! I have a 90 Yj with a 304 and a rebuilt 727 and rebuilt D300, 1-1/4 ton axles on 42" TSLs. Looking for low and grunt, quick/strong throttle response and flat out balls to the wall when needed. Midwest has a variety of terrain from rocks, to wet rocks, cliffs, sandy/rocky, dirt with rocks,and lotsa muddy places to play. So want something that would handle all types of obsticales.

I would not have a clue as to how to ship this thing! I assume it would not be cheap! No terrain around here that don't cost money to wheel on!

This is killing me. Every 401 on the web is so far away. as stated before,I would imagine shipping would be pretty expensive to Manchester Mo.63011 Anyway to check. I would probably take all accessories from 360 also pumps, brackets,etc....I haven't stopped considering this post.

I would not have a clue as to how to ship this thing! I live at the intersection of I81 & I70 so I have all major shipping docks within miles of me! I can strap it to a pallet and drop it off if some one could point me the right direction on how to do it & get a quote! Or if your willing to make arrangements with yellow,abf,roadway,fedex,I'll Drop it off! Not a problem!

Try Amtrack. I have shipped engs and axles on them pretty cheep. You have to pick up and drop off at the train terminal, but they should have a fork lift.

I have never heard of MARC. I have Amtrak locally. Still very interested, Just trying to figure out how to do this---
