fifesjeep wroteI personally liked Halifax... 8) A lot of Canadian women.. :!: Isn't the ratio something like 4:1, Females to Males??? :?
Halifax Rocks! Most bars per square mile per capita in North America!
Granted I'm biased because I live there! :t:
Crazycanuck, $4,000 may be enough, but it will be tight.
I just finished rebuilding my AMC360 for my CJ around New years. When using Desktop Dyno, the numbers read 332hp and 392 ft-lbs (figure they are within 10% of actual). Now I get all my parts and machine work for a shade above cost, and assembled the engine myself. I spent about $4k. Granted I did go a bit overboard and replace some things that it didn't require. But hell, you only live once! :!:
Here is what I did:
Edelbrock Air gap Intake(non-egr), Comp Cam 268H-10 Cam kit (cam, lifters, seals, retainers, double roller timing chain, springs and locks), Holley Pro-Jection 2 TBI (used off e-bay, smoking deal, not needed), Bored .030 over, new pistons, new rings, Both heads planed, block and heads magnafluxed and shot peened, 3 angle valve job, New bronze Guides, Mild clean up of intake and exhaust ports, New oil pump gears/springs, Crank ground 10/10, All new bearings, Entire gasket kit, Omix-Ada finned aluminum valve covers (not needed), K&N 14" Round air filter and Xstream air flow top (not needed), Lifter Valley bypass line, new water pump (not needed), alternator (not needed), starter (not needed), new pvc valve and grommet, AMC blue engine paint (not needed).
I imagine I am forgetting something, it adds up fast.
Hope this helps.
