I have took a 304 out, put in a 360. I used the flywheel and t-converter from the 304. Will this work or do i need to use the ones from the 360? Also pulled distibuter and stuck in the one from the 304, for wiring purposes. I had it running checking trans fluid and it died. Both distibuter drive gears eat up, what do i need to do? Just get new drive gears? I'M NEW TO AMC ENGINES.

It is my understanding that you should have used a 360 flywheel, as it is balanced differently. Also, never play mix and match with distributor/cam gears - always replace them as a set. MC has a matched set available on this site.

One more thing, the torque converter should work fine, but I would definately get my hands on a 360 flexplate or you will have balance problems. Just my two-cent's worth!

thanks for th 2 cents, it's worth a lot more than that to me. And any more opinions and knowledge will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Since you are ordering a matching set of Gears (Dist and Cam) why not get a new distributor while your at it? I would definately reccomend the HEI Distributors Bulltear sells.
Made a noticeable difference in idle and torque on my 4 wheeled rust issue.
