534 plate installation

Basic questions, the plate is marked filter in & filter out. 1. Is "filter in" to the filters -in- port? or the return from the filter? 2. Can the "Plug" port be used for a pressure gauge or a turbo lube connection? Hankrod

The 534 plate if maked "filter in" goes to the filter in side. "Filter out" is the returned clean oil from the filter that goes direct to the engine, thru the 534 plate.

The plug I think Matt has to make a cross drilled hole in the plate. I don't know off hand if it's the pressure side. Looking at the pic it does look like the pressure side but it would be unfiltered oil.

Thanks alot! that is what I thought. I know what you mean about the plug port being unfiltered. I think I can get a filtered source off of my dual filter setup, it has two inputs and outputs. Hankrod

79CJ, think about it, my FSJ weighs 4800 lbs. and my engine puts out 600 hp. max. The 401's bottom end is stock other than main studs, so it cannot really take much more power on a regular basis. TURBOS RULE!, Hankrod

I hear ya, I know who would win, but shoo, you both have killer setups and to see two unique vehicles like those running against each other would still be super fun!! :t:
