cutting the block

hello i would like to know do you think i will need to have the intake cut also? im having the block and heads shaved to a 0 deck height. the machine shop said he need to shave 2700 off the block.he said he would come over later and take a measurement after i mount the heads.because im using the intake right now on my 304. just wondering. thanks

In Performance American Style it says combine the amount of mill to deck and heads and to mill each Intake side the same amount and to mill Intake ends 1.4 times as much but this assumes the intake was correct to start with since using and aftermarket intake it's best to check it.
