360 head install

Ok this is my first engine rebuild. I had the heads marked before they went to the machine shop but they came back nice and new with no markings. I beleive the round end should be towards the water pump and the flat end of the head towards trans. Is this right? confused. Thanks to all

Both heads should be the same casting and will be one way on one side and the other way on the other side. Ends up round corner pass front, square driver side front.
